For Micah Corps applicants only

Are you passionate about using your faith to work for a more equitable, just world? Are you interested in community organizing, or educating churches on how to engage with social justice issues? Micah Corps is a summer internship program for young adults ages 18-22 interested in the intersection of church and social justice in the Great Plains conference. Micah Corps has two branches: the education branch and the organizing branch. The education branch equips interns to educate faith communities on how to use the Bible and United Methodist tradition to work for equity in their area. Interns in the organizing branch will work with a church and a social justice agency to create relationships for lasting community change. Both branches will travel to Washington, D.C. for one week to learn from the United Methodist General Board of Church and Society. Pay for both branches is $9 per hour, for 40 hours a week.
